Welcome to the home page of the PDP10.COM domain!

A black and white image of a DECsystem-10, KL10 model A. Four RP04 disk drives appear in the foreground. In 1976 a DECsystem-10 became the first computer, of any kind, that I ever used. I went on from there to spend many of the earliest years of my computer career writing software for both -10s and -20s. A VT05 terminal shows in the foreground while rows of DEC traditional cabinets line the background. Some memorabilia from that age still survives on my bookshelf and, as time permits, I will attempt to post some of the more interesting things here. If you have material related to Digital Equipment Corporation's line of 36 bit computers that you'd like to see posted here, send me a message and I'll be glad to help out.

The badge given out at the 30th LCG reunion at DECUS. The picture shows a sailboat with the letters "30 Years - 36 Bits."Still, if you came here looking for old hardware I wouldn't want A DECSYSTEM-2020 (the baby of the family) with a LA120 DECwriter in the foreground. you to go away disappointed and you might enjoy visiting my own collection of 12, 16 and 32 bit DEC iron. They're a poor substitute for a KL, I understand, and if you had your heart set on 36 bits, I have a list of links to some of the better DECsystem-10 and DECSYSTEM-20 sites that might help.

An older DECsystem-10 logo, from the early 70s. The text appears in all lower case yellow letters on a brown background.
